Boy&GurL - Write2Dream


Boy&GurL have created the foundation "Write2Dream" to subsidize funding for music writing workshops and inspirational courses to be made available to anyone wanting to learn to write, and to submerse themselves in an inspirational creative environment. Income level does not matter we want to make this available to anyone who wants to expand there creative side and be inspired by like minded people. Write2Dream will also bring music writing programs to charitable organizations and schools making it easily available to young people!! Our goal is to inspire, educate, raise confidence and have fun with people who want to gain more out of life, so many people are held back due to financial reasons and its so important for the arts to be a part of everyones life so we have created a way to make the costs to people disappear!! Sunday Morning By Melody L. Baker It’s Sunday morning, the sun is in the sky, I’m a little uncertain that, I can’t deny. I’ll be sharing some time with talent galore Will I be of interest or simply a bore? In a new group of people should I show my heart? Simple words on paper, really not works of art. There are endless possibilities in learning new skills, Dwelling deep within my soul, my expectations will I fill? So thank you Boy&GurL for this special time, By giving me a platform for my words to share. The both of you inspire us to reach for the stars, Feeling possibilities are endless regardless of who we are! *On Oct 23rd, 2011, Boy&GurL hosted the first Song Writing Workshop in Calgary, Alberta in support of their Write2Dream Foundation. One of the exercises the students were ask to do was one that invovled them to work on developing their writing skills. When the exercise was finished the class had the opportunity to share what they had written and one of them came up with this poem. Boy&GurL thought it was so moving and really expressed what their foundation Write2Dream was set out to do that they wanted to share it with the world.
